Akhanda 2 starring God of Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna is scheduled for a grand release on 5th December. EROS and several local distributors have taken the last minute decision to push the release of the movie into jeopardy with their demands to immediate finance clearance from producers 14 Reels Plus.

Now, all the parties have entered into an out-of-court settlement, whose details are not yet known, and makers are eyeing for 12th December release that would keep them safe from Avatar 3 storm and other Christmas release difficulties. But this postponement has come as a big obstacle for Sandeep Raj's Mowgli.

The medium budget movie with Roshan Kanakala and Sakshi Sagar as leads had been locked for theatrical release on 12th December. But they cannot clash with Akhanda 2 and People Media Factory, the producers, have entered into an OTT deal earlier. So, if the production house decides to go for another date, it would be improbable.

Mowgli needs to fight with even bigger films on 19th, 25th and even 31st December dates. Also, the OTT deal could get slashed and this will prove to be even bigger headache for PMF, who are said to be facing some financial issues with The Raja Saab postponements and they are focused on releasing it on the scheduled date.

So, this film is said to be not their high priority at this moment. So, director Sandeep Raj tweeted on X, sharing his concerns, "Maybe Colour Photo and Mowgli deserved another DIRECTOR instead of me. These movies were made by a group of passionate people who can do anything for their profession. The common points between both films are:
1. Facing bad luck with their release, just when everything seemed to be going well.
2. Me.
Maybe I am the BAD LUCK."

He continued to reason by saying, "Even I’m starting to feel that way. My dream of seeing the title “Directed by Sandeep Raj” on the big screen is becoming harder day by day. I think SILVERSCREEN hates me. Mowgli was made with the passion, sweat, and blood of so many dedicated people like Roshan, Saroj garu, Sakshi, Harsha, DOP Maruthi, Bhairava and many more. I truly hope that all good things happen to Mowgli at the very least for their sake."

Well, the unfortunate situation looks to have put him in depression to state such emotional words. How will everything pan out has to be seen in coming days. Akhanda 2 producers cannot hold on to the film longer, as they have to release as soon as they can.

On the other hand, Mowgli had been in production for long and makers cannot take too much of losses with this film as they have even bigger one The Raja Saab waiting on their back as per reports, taking all of their finances, creating doldrums until release. No one is in a position to say anything at the moment.
