RRR, the biggest action drama directed by SS Rajamouli, has opened in theatres around the world yesterday. The movie opened to rave reviews and crowded houses across the twin Telugu states for the evening and night shows.

This weekend's bookings in the North Belt and other South languages are excellent. The film, in particular, is unstoppable in the overseas (North American) market. According to reports, the picture has earned more than $3.3 million during premieres (Thursday), and Friday bookings indicate a solid figure. According to early projections, RRR will earn more over $4.5 million plus at the US box office on its first day (Thursday premieres+Friday), which is an all-time high for an Indian film.

Mega Power star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR play freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem in the film, which is produced by DVV Danayya and distributed by DVV Entertainment. Alia Bhatt plays Sita, Ram Charan's love interest in RRR, which is set in pre-independence India.
