Lokah set to hit 200 crores and on way to cross L2 Empuraan

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, Sandy Master has set box office on fire all over the world. The movie started with a modest Day 1, even in Kerala with Rs.2.75 crores gross but with strong word of mouth started blasting at all cylinders with second weekend being sensational.
During Onam holiday weekend, the movie collected huge 20 crores gross just from Kerala with Saturday and Sunday, both registering over Rs.7 crores collections. The demand is still high on a working day Monday and it is on track to record 70% occupancy with increase in screens all over.
The Rest of India gross for the film is all-time second behind Manjummel Boys, with collected huge Rs.95.55 crores gross, with Tamil Nadu being a major contributor. For Lokah Telugu Market is also contributing highly and the movie has already amassed Rs.37 crores in 11 days.
Overseas gross of the film is also phenomenal with a huge Rs.92 crores till date. Kerala gross has been a touch and go Rs.59 crores. Overall collection of the movie is stated to be Rs.188 crores in 11 days, approximately. As the Second Monday numbers are already huge just behind Thudarum, which became first movie to collect Rs.100 crores in Kerala, Worldwide gross of the movie is expected to cross L2: Empuraan's humungous Rs.267 crores by the end of the theatrical run.
The makers have also revealed the secret behind Moothon casting with Mammootty confirmed in the role, on Sunday. This could lead to further push in collections in the weekdays for those who wish to catch a glimpse or hint about him. The Dulquer Salmaan production and Dominic Arun directorial is re-writting box office records with each passing day.
