What Cooking Between Tollywood and Drugs

on Jul 24, 2011

Last year, Ravi Teja brothers Raghu and Bharath were caught red handed drugs along with a Nigerian national and remember police commissioner AK Khan's statement - that 64 from Telugu film industry were involved in the drug racket had created quite a stir. However, the case did not move any further and everyone forgot including the big shtos involved in the case. And now the latest controversy to hit the headlines is that of Varun Sandesh's alleged drug story. Well, it would be premature to accuse him of having links with drug peddles etc says the actor's associates. The media would do well to show some restraint in such matters that involve the reputation of individuals. However, it is sad that Tollywood stars are getting affected by some controversies these days.

The general public believes that police needs to investigate deeply and bring out the cluprits to the fore. It is nobody's case that there are no black sheep in the industry. However, it would be inappropriate on the part of media to throw restraint to the winds and go after individuals (Varun Sandesh in this case). On his part, the actor has proclaimed innocence. Let's not jump to conclusions and deprive him of peace of mind. It is for the cops to find out the truth and we need to wait and see how cops deal this.
