The intense political drama in Tamil Nadu over the past few days has finally come to a close. Thalapathy Vijay is all set to become the next Chief Minister as the route is completely clear now. His party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single-largest party with 108 seats in the recent assembly elections but fell just short of the 118-seat majority mark required to form the government.  

After days of suspense and multiple visits to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Vijay has finally secured the magic number. The major breakthrough came today when the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) officially handed over a letter of unconditional support with their two MLAs. 

With the Left parties and Congress already pledging their backing, the TVK-led alliance now comfortably commands 119 seats in the assembly, paving the way for a historic coalition government. What makes this victory even more spectacular is the sheer scale of his political debut. 

Following in the legendary footsteps of MGR and NTR, Vijay has created history by becoming Chief Minister in his very first election. By dismantling the decades-old Dravidian duopoly of DMK and AIADMK on his first attempt, he has set a new benchmark in Indian politics. Senior leaders have confirmed the submission of the final support letters, and the official swearing-in ceremony in Chennai is now just a matter of time.
