Suriya and Karthi are brothers with great acting talent, looks, and on-screen charisma. They have grown to become big stars and have managed to create immense craze for their films in Telugu as well. Interestingly, both of them are debuting in Telugu directly with the same production house, Sithara Entertainments.

They have been accused of working back-to-back only with their family producers—KE Gnanavelraja and SR Prabhu. Recently, they both even took on the responsibility of paying off the production houses' loans during the releases of Kanguva, Vaa Vaathiyar, and Karuppu. The brothers had to help the producers clear pending financial commitments.

Karuppu worked out big time, giving Suriya a much-needed relief at the box office. Karthi needs a box office success after Meiyazhagan and Vaa Vaathiyar. He has completed Sardar 2, and the shoot of Marshal is said to have been halted by SR Prabhu until Karuppu's release. Now, on Karthi's birthday, Sithara Entertainments has confirmed that they are producing Karthi 30, directed by Kalyan Shankar. Meenakshi Chaudhary is playing the leading lady in the film.

While Karthi already did Oopiri, that was always designed as a bilingual film, simultaneously shot in Tamil as Thozha. But this is his direct Telugu film and it could be released in Tamil with few tweaks, not mentioned as bilingual till date. As Kalyan Shankar is renowned for directing the MAD franchise, we can expect a complete comedy from Karthi and a hit film if everything falls in place.

Meanwhile, Suriya is waiting for the release of Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, hoping to continue his success streak at the box office. Many producers have tried to produce the direct Telugu debuts of these two brothers, but Naga Vamsi managed to pull it off back-to-back.
