Sharwanand and Srinu Vaitla are teaming up for the first time for a new family entertainer produced by Anil Sunkara. Titled George Krish, the film was launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony, with the makers also confirming January 14, 2027 as its worldwide theatrical release.
The title was unveiled through a colourful poster featuring a festive yellow-orange backdrop and an hourglass design. A tiny silhouette of Sharwanand lifting the female lead hints at the romantic and fun-filled tone of the film.
The project brings together Sharwanand and Srinu Vaitla for the first time, with Anil Sunkara backing the combination. The producer also announced the film’s worldwide theatrical distributors on the launch day itself, an unusual move that signals his confidence in the project.
George Krish has cinematography by KV Guhan and music by Anup Rubens. Nandu Savarigana and Gopi Mohan are credited as writers. The film is expected to begin shooting soon. Sharwanand has previously enjoyed Sankranthi success with films such as Shatamanam Bhavati and Express Raja, and the makers are now looking to bring another family entertainer from the actor to the festival audience in 2027.
