Why is Ravi Teja on a Signing Spree?

Going by the choices that Ravi Teja is making these days, one wonders if he is on an experimentation mode. It was unusual of him to accept a film by Gunashekar, in whose films heroes are a paragon of virtues rather than merely raw characters. Titled as Nippu, it seems to strike the right chord though. As if one was not enough, Ravi Teja has teamed up with Meher Ramesh, a director who portrays his heroes as larger-than-life entities (read Shakti movie review).

Of course, though a mass entertainer himself, a majestic role is not something in which the star's fans will like to see him. They will rather want to picture him in a true-to-life but cinematic hero's role. It is guessed that Meher is not trying something bizarre this time around with Ravi Teja, the guy-next-door hero. In any case, the actor is known to surprise us with his unusual choice of films.
