Comedy King Allari Naresh has arrived in theaters today with Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, presented by the prestigious Annapurna Studios. Let's discuss about it in detail.

Plot:

Suri (Allari Naresh) is your classic slacker who ignores his love life and struggling local drama troupe, banking his entire future instead on a crazy family secret - an old book that supposedly summons the celestial beauties Rambha, Oorvasi and Menaka to shower him with riches. But reality hits hard when his mom suddenly needs a wildly expensive, life saving surgery. Out of options, Suri uses the book and the three nymphs actually show up.

Except they have absolutely zero clue how the modern world works and their out of touch antics quickly turn his town upside down. Realizing that magic isn't going to pay the hospital bills, Suri finally has to grow up and stop looking for shortcuts. In a desperate, hilarious gamble, he casts the three bewildered heavenly beings in a massive stage play, hoping to pull off the ultimate show to revive his drama company, legitimately earn the money to save his mom, and finally prove he isn't just a failure.

Analysis:

Allari Naresh delivers a great performance, easily shifting between comedy, romance, and emotion. His emotional scenes in the hospital will bring tears. Vennela Kishore brings a few decent laughs as Indra. The second-half comedy featuring Senior Naresh and Srinivas Reddy is also passable.

However, the director chooses a very outdated story and screenplay. The scenes feel 15 years old and completely lack freshness. The romantic track with Surabhi fails to engage the viewers. Furthermore, the main comedy concept regarding the heavenly nymphs does not generate enough laughs.

Technically, the production values are decent. The background score is okay, but the songs and dialogue writing feel very routine. While the pre-climax and climax carry a good message, the overall weak execution falls flat.

Positives:

Allari Naresh's performance

Pre-climax message

A few comedy scenes

Negatives:

Outdated story and screenplay

Lack of fresh comedy

Unimpressive romantic track

Routine narration

Bottomline:

Allari Naresh is good, but a highly outdated story and weak direction spoil the fun.

Rating: 2/5
