Puri Jagannadh is working with Vijay Sethupathi or not?

on Mar 17, 2025

Puri Jagannadh could not repeat the success of Ismart Shankar with both his films - Liger and Double Ismart. Both of them have become such huge disasters than they have earned him further bad name. The recent reports state that director is said to have narrated a script to Vijay Sethupathi and their film could start soon.

But reports from Tamil media channels state that Vijay Sethupathi wanted to work with the director and came to Hyderabad for a narration as well. They state that he did not like the storyline and hence, dropped the idea of working with him. Now, Telugu media reports suggest that he agreed to give dates, immediately.

On the other hand, reports about Puri working with Akhil and Nagarjuna have also surfaced. At this moment, these reports seem to be speculations from different sources rather than consolidated reports. The writer-director is not finding immediate acceptance from actors due to his recent track record.

Still, his name sparks huge amount of interest on whom he would work with next. Currently though, the media reports are confusing everyone around. Vijay Sethupathi has big line-up in Tamil, after Maharaja success, and for him to keep them all on a back burner and work with Puri, the story has to be that exceptional. Let's wait for the official announcement, as it is hard to believe in random speculations and speculate on speculations.
