Prashanth Neel has officially put an end to the ongoing rumors about shelving his highly anticipated sequels. Following his recent comment that Jr. NTR's Dragon would be his final film in the dark, hyper-stylized action genre, speculation went rife across social media that the director had dropped plans for both Salaar 2 and KGF 3.
However, Neel has now clarified his immediate lineup. The filmmaker confirmed that the Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam will definitely be his next directorial venture right after he wraps up Dragon. He emphasized his commitment to properly concluding the high-stakes conflict and unresolved threads established in the first part.
This news comes as a massive relief to Prabhas fans. The actor is currently busy wrapping up multiple projects, including Fauji and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, which aligns perfectly with Neel’s production schedule. Once Dragon hits theaters in June 2027, the director is expected to immediately transition back to the world of Khansaar.
As for KGF 3, Neel admitted that the Yash-starrer remains open, but he is unsure when he can shift his focus back to that franchise. Beyond Salaar 2, the director is reportedly planning to step into the mythological genre, an ambitious dream project he has been developing for nearly two decades.
