Post Superman, Snyder fans strike Internet again

DC has suspended their contract with filmmaker Zack Snyder, after extreme negative reviews to Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice League. They even asked him to re-work on Justice League and when he had to leave due to family emergency, they brought in Joss Whedon and Snyder fans did not like the cut.
They have put pressure on the studio to finish and release Zack Snyder Justice League extended cut. The petitions on Internet have shaken WB Studios to such a level that they have caved to fan pressure and finished the VFX of ZSJL and released it on their OTT platform.
The cut has broken records in viewership and many praised few scenes as the extended cut did seem to be cohesive than the original while not all liked it. Now, James Gunn has been given DC Universe responsibilities and he released his first film, Superman, as the new head and producer for DC Films and TV series.
But the Superman did not gain rousing positive reception and Zack Snyder fans have started another Internet war with Restore Snyder Verse (#RestoreSnyderVerse) tweets, post s on social media. They are stating that the fan power will once again bring DC to their feet and make them accept their request.
DC bet heavily on Justice League, Batman vs Superman that their box office returns ended up securing losses. Even the direction that studio adapted with rest of the films trying to balance fun and dark stories, did not work for the studio. So, they went with James Gunn's take on their popular stories.
While Superman did not really appeal to many, the movie could still pull in good returns as it is not outrightly rejected at least from initial reactions. DC might give James Gunn few more years and films, before trying to again reboot or find a new direction.
Meanwhile, if MCU again succeed to find their prime, we cannot say if they would be pressured to stay relevant in competition. For now though, it is too early to decide upon new DCU future as few more films have been lined up and Studio can't change decisions with every film.
