Maremma Trailer: Maadhav takes a challenging role

Sep 1, 2026 11:27AM

Maadhav is not getting a routine hero launch with Maremma. The trailer makes it clear that the debutant is stepping into a rooted rural drama built around faith, a sacred bull and a village caught in a serious conflict. That gives the film a clear identity, instead of selling it purely on Maadhav being Ravi Teja’s nephew.

Ram Pothineni unveiled the trailer and said, "Happy to unveil the MAREMMA trailer. The trailer looks absolutely raw, riveting & like a pure tale of the soil. Wishing Maadhav & the entire team all the very best."

The interesting part of the trailer is the bull at the centre of the story. Maadhav’s character is entrusted with protecting Maremma’s bull, but that responsibility becomes dangerous when the village comes under threat. The visuals also hint at a sacrifice, making the bull an important part of the conflict rather than just a religious element added for atmosphere.

For a debut, Maadhav has chosen a fairly demanding character. He has to look convincing in a completely rustic setup and carry a story where his character’s actions are tied to the village and its beliefs. The trailer shows good screen presence, body language and a certain Ravi Teja-like energy, but Maadhav seems to be finding his own space rather than merely leaning on the family image.

Director Manchala Nagaraju appears to have built the film around the village and its belief system. The world-building is one of the trailer’s stronger aspects, with the production design and VFX helping establish the setting. Prashanth Vihari’s music and Pradeep Dutta’s BGM further push the earthy and tense mood.

Produced by Mayur Reddy Bandaru, Maremma now has a genuine theatrical question around it: can this unusual rural conflict translate into a gripping commercial drama? The trailer gives enough of a hook to find out. The film releases worldwide on September 10.
