Mahesh Babu has reportedly wrapped his portions for SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi as of September 22. The actor has been shooting for the ambitious project for nearly 20 months, and his latest schedule marks a major milestone as the film moves into the final phase of production.

According to reports, Mahesh has completed the major talkie and action portions of his character, bringing his current shooting commitments for the film to an end. Earlier reports indicated that the actor had already finished most of his work, with only a limited schedule remaining. He had also reportedly begun dubbing for his character.

The remaining portions of Varanasi are expected to be completed by early October, with Rajamouli simultaneously overseeing the post-production work. The filmmaker had earlier revealed that the film’s major action spectacle had been completed and that the remaining shoot would involve smaller portions.

Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is being produced by KL Narayana and has music by MM Keeravani. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
