Kalyani Priyadarshan goes glam but faces mixed reactions

Kalyani Priyadarshan has debuted with Hello and stayed away from glamorous roles since beginning of her career. But she broke those rules for Tamil movie, Genie. She went glamorous to pull off belly dance number with Krithi Shetty. While she is stunningly gorgeous, she is facing mixed reactions for her dance.

Recently, she created history in Malayalam Cinema with first Indian female superhero film, Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra. The movie is on the verge of hitting RS.300 crores at the box office and it is set to become the first Malayalam Cinema ever to achieve this milestone.

She had been waiting for the release of Genie from a long time, as the movie had been put in the cold storage from some time. Jayam Ravi and Krithi Shetty are playing leading roles along with Kalyani. Now, song Abdi Abdi composed by AR Rahman, has been released from the movie and it contains both leading ladies in fear of Genie, performing belly dance.

The reactions have been mixed for Kalyani, as some of her fans are loving this avatar while people who enjoy dancing are calling out the choreography and her awkwardness. Well, the actress did state that she pushed herself for the song to try something new and looks like she might have second thoughts from next time.
