Is Rashmika breaking her roots with Kannada Cinema?

on Feb 15, 2025

Rashmika Mandanna has started her career with Kirik Party, a Kannada blockbuster. She entered into Telugu Cinema with Chalo and before that she used to relate to as Kannada actress. But during a promotional event for her new film, Chhaava, the actress identified as a person from Hyderabad.

She did reach to star status and even got opportunities in Hindi Cinema, Tamil Cinema after she became a Telugu film star. She did not return back to Kannada Cinema and had some open fights with Rishab Shetty, director of her debut film, Kirik Party. Now, her latest statement has triggered Kannada cinema fans.

They are questioning her if she is looking aggressively to cut her ties and break her roots with Kannada Cinema. Looking to identify herself from Hyderabad doesn't mean she doesn't want to go back to Kannada Cinema but her family hails from Karnataka. Even if is settling in Hyderabad, such statements would portray her in bad light.

Now, Kannada cinema fans are exhibiting their frustration against her statements. The actress has great commitment to promote her films and she even promoted Chhaava with a broken leg. And she has a great passion to better herself and become a renowned actress all over.

But these kind of controversies won't help her in achieving that fame. Maybe she got a little hyper excited in giving speech addressing people and talking about Chhaava, which she is highly proud about. Let's hope she recognises where she can control it and give balanced statements without hurting anyone.
