Godari Gattupaina Movie starring Sumanth Prabhas, who delivered a hit with his debut, Mem Famous, released Today in theatres. Nidhi Pradeep, Jagapathi Babu and Laila are playing prominent roles and Subash Chandra directed it. Let's discuss about the film in detail. 

 

Plot: 

An auto driver Raju (Sumanth Prabhas) falls in love with Maaya (Nidhi Pradeep). She respects and loves her father Shyam Babu (Jagapathi Babu). She doesn't accept Raju advances first but falls for his good heart. When their love story looks to progress well, suddenly, she breaks up with Raju. Why? What is the role of Shyam Babu in this? How will their clash resolve? Watch the movie to know more. 

Analysis: 

The makers have been keen on stating that watching the movie feels like experiencing fresh breeze on the banks of Godavari. But the movie story is so old that even Godavari river would find it too old for its liking. From nuances to scenes to execution, everything is text book level dated. 

Sumanth Prabhas tried his best to fit into Godavari districts boy character but his natural flair in Telangana slang, came out at more occasions than less. As a performer also, he had very little to offer as character doesn't really shine. Nidhi Pradeep is good and she performs with her eyes. 

Jagapathi Babu is regular but he carried weight of the film in last 20 minutes along with Rajeev Kanakala. Both veterans did their best to lift up the uninspiring written material. Music and BGM did not really help writer-director Subash Chandra either. 

Cinematography, Editing lack finesse that we anticipate from talented technicians. Overall, the movie feels dated and jaded for audiences to find it inspiring to watch it. Still, for Nidhi Pradeep and Jagapathi Babu, if anyone wants to give a try, they may.
