Chiranjeevi once again showcased why many within Telugu cinema consider him the guiding force of the industry as he stepped in to resolve the ongoing Percentage vs Rental issue between producers, exhibitors, and distributors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The issue had intensified after several exhibitors openly objected to the rental system and raised concerns about the Film Chamber’s proposed 18-member committee and the delay in reaching a final decision. As tensions grew and fears of ego clashes increased within the industry, Chiranjeevi reportedly took matters into his own hands and brought all parties together for discussions.

According to reports, he met producers, exhibitors, and distributors individually, listened to their concerns, and assured them that he would personally monitor the committee’s progress and ensure that a final resolution is reached by June 30. Until then, the rental system will continue.

His intervention has also reportedly cleared the path for the smooth release of Peddi, which was indirectly affected by the uncertainty surrounding the revenue-sharing model. It was also decided that whenever big-budget films receive ticket hikes, exhibitors would receive an additional 7.5% share from the increased revenues. 

Industry circles are now appreciating Chiranjeevi for resolving the matter amicably and preventing it from turning into a prolonged industry divide during difficult theatrical times. Well, He did intervene when Peddi came into trouble but he made sure that the problem won't repeat ever too.
