Can Nithiin mark his comeback after Thammudu?

on Jul 9, 2025

Nithiin faced a huge upswing and downtrend in his career twice before the current nadir. His recent films - Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra Ordinary Man, Robinhood and Thammudu have been biggest disasters in his career, one more than other. Now, trade experts are stating Thammudu will lose more than Rs.35 crores.

This is a clossal disaster for Nithiin, while Nani has been able to construct a trust amongst audiences that saved his HIT 3 with big openings. Similar trust on a Nithiin's film could have saved Thammudu from just collecting Rs.4-5 crores share.

Vijay Deverakonda post Liger, lost such trust and his Kingdom needs a big push with audio to really be a safe venture, if content doesn't connect. Interestingly, Vijay's last film - The Family Star is also a Dil Raju production. The producer has stated that he would no longer be a proposal maker but look at script even more closely post Game Changer, debacle.

But Nithiin, who changed his career graph post 13 failures with Ishq, needs another such project. He might have to take a break to access the failures as each film had a solid core line but execution and screenplay did not resonate the same. With such a huge disaster to his name, it would be interesting to see, how he will plan his next film. For now though, Thammudu losses will be talking point for coming days.
