Are Dhanush and Simbu going to star together?

on Jun 10, 2025

Dhanush and Simbu are always seen as rivals at the box office and even personal lives wise, too. They have been close friends before but issues in love life with Aishwarya Rajinikanth, said to have drawn a wedge between them. Recently, they both have hugged each other at a private ceremony.

Now, the actors could be seen together in Vada Chennai 2, says few reports. According to the reports, Simbu and Vetrimaaran are coming together for a film in the production of Kalaipuli Thanu. As Suriya and Vetrimaaran's Vaadivaasal is dropped, this movie is set to go on floors quite soon.

Few reports suggest that Simbu will be appearing in a character that is supposed to appear in Vada Chennai, originally, and written for him. Now, Vetrimaaran has developed a new script with that character in mind. Some are even suggesting that this character will appear in Vada Chennai 2, as well.

If these reports are to be believed then that the movie will be one of the biggest multi-starrers in current Tamil Cinema. We have to wait and see, if Vetrimaaran will bring out his own franchise with Vada Chennai characters. He already stated that he could make a spin-off on Rajan character played by director Ameer.
