ANR comforted me when Shiva received mixed talk - Nag

on Nov 10, 2025

King Nagarjuna has re-written box office history and even Indian Cinema style of filmmaking with his all-time cult classic, Shiva. Telugu Cinema has always been talked about as Before Shiva and After Shiva. Such a film is re-releasing on 14th November with 4K upgradation and Dolby Atmos Sound enhancement.

Nag and director Ram Gopal Varma, interacted with the press after screening special show for them. The movie has been unanimously praised by press people for such a great effort in detailing while converting sound and visuals. RGV overlooked the project and stated that they used AI for multi-track sound but did not add anything.

Nagarjuna  remembered his father legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao words and exclaimed that they have turned true. He revealed that post Shiva release he heard mixed reactions from all corners as industry people told him that movie won't be such a big hit and it doesn't have comedy and women won't like violence.

But at that time, ANR drove the car with him besides and took him out. Then the great man told Nag, "I don't know where the movie is going to end, it's a blockbuster." Nag stated that his father's words have come true. He thanked RGV for overlooking everything and appreciated Annapurna Studios team for top notch work. The movie release is coinciding with 50th anniversary of the revered studio.
