Aga Naga from PS2 is an Entrancing melody from ARR

The makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan dropped a lyric video of the first single from the song, Aganandhe. With stunning visuals and soulful music, the track from Mani Ratnam's PS2 has been sung by Sakthisree Gopalan. The single is has lyrics by Ananth Sriram.

 

It is picturised on Karthi and Trisha's characters, the Chola spy and commander Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan and Ilaiya Piratti Kundavai magical moments. In the first instalment of the series, the makers had used the song in the background during the scenes between Kundavai and Vanthiyathevan and it had won the hearts of many.

 

So, the move to turn it into a full-fledged song in the second instalment has come as a pleasant surprise to many. With just almost a month for the film's release (April 28), the makers have begun the promotions in full swing. The film stars Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi and Jayam Ravi in the lead along with an ensemble supporting cast which includes Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi and many other notable actors.

 

Music for the film is by Oscar winner AR Rahman, editing by A Sreekar Prasad, cinematography by Ravi Varman and art direction by Thotta Tharani. The magnum opus is jointly bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
