The trailer of 418 sets up a creepy mystery around an abandoned building and one particular room that appears to be at the centre of everything going wrong. Directed by Kirtan Nagagouda, the horror drama is presented by Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

The story begins after the abandoned building is reopened, with the first person entering the premises experiencing strange paranormal occurrences. Room No. 418 soon emerges as the focal point of the mystery, as the protagonist starts experiencing disturbing incidents and psychological changes. His curiosity to understand what is happening eventually draws his friends into the situation, while the trailer hints that women entering the building could be facing an even greater danger.

What works in the trailer is that it doesn't completely spell out the mystery. Instead, it gradually builds an unsettling atmosphere through eerie visuals, sound design and glimpses of the backstory. The horror appears to have a psychological layer as well, suggesting that the film is not relying entirely on conventional jump scares.

Chaitra Achar gets one of the most intriguing parts in the trailer and makes an impression with a restrained performance. Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju and Preethi Pagadala also contribute to the growing tension. The cinematography, visuals and background score complement the unsettling mood created by the director. Movie is scheduled for release on 18th September.
