Updated : Aug 9, 2025

Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi today inaugurated Project Miss South India UK, an international beauty pageant with a transformative vision, at the prestigious Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. Organized by Stardust Pageants, the initiative will run from July 2025 to July 2026, empowering South Indian women of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam descent, aged 18–28, residing in the United Kingdom.

Designed as more than a traditional beauty contest, Project Miss South India UK will serve as a vibrant cultural and talent platform. Over the course of a year, participants will take part in grooming workshops, cultural showcases, media promotions, and a spectacular grand finale in the UK.

Regional titles—Miss Telugu UK, Miss Tamil UK, Miss Kannada UK, and Miss Malayalam UK—will be awarded, culminating in the crowning of Miss South India UK. Winners will receive cash prizes, custom-designed crowns, modeling contracts, and international exposure to boost their careers and visibility.

The registration portal and promotional campaigns will launch soon, with events planned in both India and the UK to engage participants and audiences.

According to Stardust Pageants, this initiative aims to bridge South Indian traditions with global aspirations, inspiring a new generation of confident, culturally rooted, and community-driven women.
