Thalapathy coming  On April 14th, Vijay's 'Beast,' directed by Nelson, is likely to take over the box office. Sun Pictures is producing the film on a large scale, music by Anirudh and costarring Pooja Hegde. Meanwhile, Vijay is preparing to begin filming his next film, 'Thalapathy 66,' on April 2nd, the auspicious Ugadhi day.

'Thalapathy 66,' produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is Vijay's first Telugu straight film. As per close sources  that Thaman is the music director and that Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead, with Prakash Raj also playing a key role. There's also a strong rumour that famed Tollywood actor Nani would be in the cast.

According to recent speculations, Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi will play the main antagonist in 'Thalapathy 66.' The actor previously starred alongside Ajith Kumar in 'Vivegam,' which received a lot of excitement in the South thanks to Ajith fans.

If the deal falls through, it'll be fascinating to see Vijay vs. Vivek Oberoi. Following back-to-back mass-action flicks, Vijay intends to a pakka family entertainer. With this entertainer, Thalapathy Vijay hopes to astonish his family audience. Dilraju intends to release this bilingual project for Sankranti 2023.
