In an interview with Prabhas, Rajamouli talks about his bond with Jr NTR.

Following Baahubali, director SS Rajamouli and Prabhas have shown the Indian audience how their association on the big screen spells magic. The film series established a foundation for pan-India films. As part of the Radhe Shyam promotions, the dynamic filmmaker SS Rajamouli recently interviewed Prabhas.

During the interview, Prabhas thanked Rajamouli for promoting his film while he was still working on his next project, RRR, and they went down memory lane, recalling some of the things Prabhas did during the Baahubali promotion. During the interview, Prabhas asks Rajamouli why he was not a part of RRR. Rajamouli cleverly dodges the subject, and Prabhas explains why Rajamouli always thinks of Jr.NTR when a strong subject presents itself. Then  Rajamouli begins by describing his special bond with Tarak.

All of this suggests that Rajamouli is close to NTR and exclusively talks about stories for the mass hero. In prior interviews, Rajamouli stated flatly that no performer has come close to NTR in recent years. Prabhas now reveals that whenever he saw Rajamouli during the production of Yamadonga, the ace filmmaker always told him that his next projects would be with NTR, leaving Prabhas wondering when he would have the chance to work with him.

Rajamouli and NTR have a long history together. They began their careers together with Student No. 1 and have experienced many ups and downs together. They've already scored industry hits including Simhadri and Yamadonga. Rajamouli has worked with NTR on several times and is close to his family. Their friendship is strong, and all of the heroes are aware that Rajamouli saves the best for NTR since he is close to him.
