Following the success of the 2020 film Draupathi, director Mohan G. and actor Richard Rishi are back with the sequel, Draupathi 2. The historical action drama is produced by G. M Film Corporation in association with Chola Chakravarthy and Netaji Productions.

The first look poster was unveiled on Sri Vinayaka Chavithi, with the film set for a theatrical release in both Tamil and Telugu. Set in the 14th century, the movie delves into the history of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III and the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam during the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu.

Starring Richard Rishi and Rakshana Indusudan, the cast also includes Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, and others in key roles. The film was primarily shot in Mumbai, with additional scenes filmed in Senji, Thiruvannamalai, and Kerala. The movie will connect its epic narrative to the first film, serving as a second installment in the franchise.

The technical team features Padma Chandrasekhar (dialogues), Ghibran (music), Philip R. Sundar (cinematography), Devaraj (editing), and Action Santosh (stunts). Draupathi 2 promises a saga of valour and history, coming to theaters soon.
