Home  »  Gossip  »  Is Ajith looking to produce his next movie?

Updated : Aug 30, 2025

Ajith Kumar is one of the biggest stars of Tamil Cinema. He received Padma Bhushan award this year and even his Good Bad Ugly became a huge blockbuster. Hence, he decided to give director Adhik Ravichandran another film, as he has a habit of repeating his directors for two to three films.

The movie should have been officially announced by the end of August, with shooting starting from October. But latest reports state that shooting could start from November and he might only produce it. While Raahul, the distributor of Good Bad Ugly, and the long time executive producer of Boney Kapoor, is said to be the producer, the latest reports suggest that he is facing financial troubles.

Ajith asked him to give him OTT and Satellite rights while he can take care of theatrical. But this arrangement did not give him enough room to get the huge budget required for starting the shoot, it seems. While Adhik has almost completed script work, Ajith strictly asked him to not indulge in fan service like GBU, it seems.

Recently, Ajith even let his major drivers go from Ajith Racing Team and reports suggest that he could be looking at production, hence, decreased expenses on Racing front. There is no crystal clear clarity on when the movie will start shoot and how things will progress but movie might go to shooting floor in November.
