Suriya is reportedly planning to make his landmark 50th film a major cinematic event, and several interesting filmmaker combinations are doing the rounds. Mani Ratnam, Arun Matheswaran, Lokesh Kanagaraj and RJ Balaji are said to be among the names being considered for the prestigious project. 

RJ Balaji recently delivered a blockbuster, Karuppu, delivering big blockbuster for Suriya after 13 years. It is stated that Dream Warrior Pictures, the producer of the film has asked Balaji to direct Karuppu 2 as 50th film. On the other, Arun Matheswaran, who delivered blockbuster with DC, is also in talks for it.  

If not 50th, Suriya will definitely do a film with him. On the other hand, at the Scene Telugu event, he openly stated that if Rolex has to happen, Lokesh needs to meet him. He asked them if they want to see him in a negative role and accepted he will do one. So, if Lokesh is ready, Suriya might wait and make Kaithi 2 his 50th.

Now, Mani Ratnam is said to be planning a huge multi-starrer with him and Dhanush. While there is no clarity about his 50th, he did start shooting for his next with TJ Gnanavel. Currently, he is busy with promotions of Scene, and he is hoping to make it a hat-trick blockbuster comeback year. Nazriya Nazim and Naslen are playing key roles in this Jithu Madhavan cop comedy thriller.
