The much-discussed combination of Allu Arjun and Malayalam filmmaker Basil Joseph appears to be moving closer to reality. Reports suggest that Basil Joseph has been finalised to direct Allu Arjun's 25th film, tentatively referred to as AA25. However, an official announcement from the actor or the production house is still awaited.

Basil's recent comments have added weight to the speculation. In an interaction with the media, he indicated that he is occupied with another time-consuming project and refrained from revealing details about his collaboration with Allu Arjun, suggesting that the discussions are still progressing.

The project is expected to be backed by Geetha Arts, with Allu Aravind reportedly producing it. If finalised, it will mark Allu Arjun's first collaboration with a Malayalam filmmaker and Basil Joseph's entry into Telugu cinema as a director.

Interestingly, the proposed film has also been linked to a superhero subject following Basil's success with Minnal Murali. However, director Arun Anirudhan has clarified that the Allu Arjun project has no connection with the previously discussed Shaktimaan adaptation.

Allu Arjun is currently occupied with Atlee's Raaka and his upcoming collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The Basil Joseph project is expected to take shape after these commitments, with the director reportedly working on the script.
