Television actor Rohit Chandel, best known for his roles in Sairaab, Pandya Store and Kashibai Bajirao Ballal, has landed in legal trouble after being arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Fresh reports now state that the actor has allegedly admitted to stalking the 16-year-old complainant during police questioning.

According to police officials, Rohit Chandel did not deny visiting the minor and reportedly confessed that he used to meet her. Investigators said the actor and the teenager were co-actors, and the girl alleged that he repeatedly pressured her despite her attempts to distance herself by blocking his phone number. Police further stated that Chandel would allegedly travel from Dahisar to Ghatkopar to meet her and continued contacting her using multiple phone numbers.

The case stems from a complaint filed by the 16-year-old, who alleged that Chandel repeatedly called her, followed her near her residence on July 5, verbally abused her and physically assaulted her after an argument. Based on the complaint, Mumbai Police arrested the actor and booked him under relevant provisions of the POCSO Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Following his arrest, Rohit Chandel was produced before a special POCSO court and has since been remanded to judicial custody. The investigation is currently underway, and authorities are continuing to examine the allegations. Chandel has not made any public statement regarding the case so far.
