The highly publicised fallout between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani over 'Don 3' is reportedly moving towards a resolution. The conflict began earlier this year when Ranveer abruptly exited the much-anticipated project following creative differences, leading Excel Entertainment to claim significant financial losses of around Rs 40 crore in pre-production costs.
The Producers Guild of India subsequently stepped in to mediate the dispute. According to recent media reports, Ranveer has now offered an amicable settlement to end the stalemate. He has reportedly agreed to return his initial signing amount of Rs 10 crore to the production house.
Furthermore, to compensate for the sunk pre-production expenses, the actor has offered Excel Entertainment an undisclosed equity stake in his upcoming zombie apocalypse thriller, tentatively titled 'Pralay'. Ranveer is expected to turn producer for this new film under his own banner, Maa Kasam Films.
Despite these strong rumours of a truce, some industry sources suggest that a final agreement is yet to be locked in. Representatives close to Excel Entertainment have reportedly denied any immediate involvement in 'Pralay', maintaining that negotiations are still ongoing. While the mediation continues, the future of the 'Don 3' and Don franchise currently remains uncertain.
