Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ended his 48 hours Rythu Deeksha in Perkit village of Armoor Mandal in Nizamabad district on Thursday evening. Jagan ended his fast with the lemon juice offered by local farmers.

The otherwise peaceful and smooth running of YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's 48-hour Deeksha in Armoor suddenly turned violent on Wednesday afternoon, when CPI-ML New Democracy members barged in to the Deeksha camp and tried to disrupt it. The protestors were demanding Jagan to spell out his party's stand on the Telangana issue.

Jagan 48-hour Deeksha Continues in Armoor

Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing with his 48-hour Rythu Deeksha in Armoor mandal of Nizamabad district. The deeksha, which Jagan took up to highlight the problems of farmers in the Telangana region, has entered its second day on Wednesday. A large number of farmers and supporters queued up at the hunger strike camp to call on the Kadapa MP and son of late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Jagan 48-hour Deeksha to Start at Armoor

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's convoy, enroute to Armoor, has reached Nizamabad town at 4 PM on Tuesday. Jagan will participate in a function at a Marriage Hall in Nizamabad, in which former TRS minister S Santhosh Reddy and several others will join the YSR Congress Party.

YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's convoy entered Nizamabad district and reached Baswapur town near the border. Jagan is on enroute to Armoor in Nizamabad district, where his 48-hour 'Deeksha' has been scheduled.

Heavy Police Bandobust For Jagan Deeksha in Armoor

In a bid to put check to the TJAC call to obstruct YSR Congress President Jagana Mohan Reddy's two-day Deeksha at Armoor in Nizamabad, the police is making elaborate bandobust in the area. The police has taken several local JAC and students' leaders in to custody on Monday night itself to prevent any ontoward incidences of violence. Interestingly, none of the top rung JAC leaders are present at Armoor to organize the protest. Moreover, the strength of Telangana Political JAC cadres in Armoor is also minimal compared to Warangal. This situation would certainly help Jagan to complete his Deeksha, say the political observers.

Santhosh Reddy to Join YSR Congress Tomorrow

Former TRS minister in late YSR government, S Santhosh Reddy is going to formally join the YSR Congress Party tomorrow in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's presence at Armoor, Nizamabad district. Santosh Reddy, along with local followers, met Jagan at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad on Monday and expressed his willingness to join the party. He reportedly extended his complete support to Jagan’s 48-hour deeksha at Armoor from Tuesday. Jagan's Telangana tour is to start in Nizamabad district tomorrow on 10 January.
