Yashoda, which was released yesterday, is doing well. Although the morning shows started slowly, the evening shows saw a significant increase. Samantha's image is reaffirmed for the audience once more in this female-oriented film.

 

However, one aspect of this story has become a social media sensation. In 2018, the English film Level 16 was released. It's a gang story, similar to the story or idea in Yashoda's film.

 

There is no surrogacy concept in this Hollywood film, but based on the plot, it appears that inspiration was taken. But Level 16 was not much of a success. This is not a theatrical release. It premiered on the CBC TV channel in 2019 after screening at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2018. The ratings aren't much better.

 

Although there is an interesting point, the director was unable to properly adapt it for an Indian audience. Yashoda isn't bad; directors Hari and Harish have done a good job with the screenplay. Sam's efforts appear to be meaningful if the film grows its Collections range.
