Music composer Devi Sri Prasad and director Sukumar have been great friends from the beginning days of their respective careers. Even Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad are very thick friends, in fact, Allu Arjun preferred DSP over other composers for most of his films post Arya success. Both of them worked for films like Bunny, Arya 2, Julayi, Iddarammayilatho, S/O Satyamurthy, DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham, Pushpa: The Rise and now working for Pushpa 2: The Rule. 

Sukumar never even considered another composer for any of his movies till date. But suddenly, Pushpa 2: The Rule background score is being asked to compose by S Thaman, another star composer of Telugu Cinema. From 2010, both DSP and Thaman have been the preferred and go-to composers of TFI big stars. Now, the tables are shifting towards Anirudh Ravichander as many stars are looking at Pan India release. 

Still, Thaman has Game Changer with Ram Charan to keep his stake in demand and now, he has Pushpa 2: The Rule background score opportunity as well. DSP needs Kanguva, Dhanush - Nagarjuna starrer Kubera to hit big time for once again rise to the top. But why did he miss the Pushpa 2 train that too after scoring for 90% of First half and composing songs? 

The inside sources reveal that Devi Sri Prasad after locking score for Pushpa 2, first half, got busy with his concert and then Kanguva final touches in mixing. While Pushpa 2 also needed his attention to be completed for target 5th December release. As off now, second half edit has not been locked by the makers yet. DSP wanted the full version to start composing score and he asked for certain time also, it seems. 

Director Sukumar has not been ready to finish the edit and when DSP asked for a locked edit to compose, he felt let-down by his close friend say sources. Also, he wished for DSP to follow up about second half visuals and as the composer become busy with other commitments, he also felt like he is not being given any preference while Pushpa 2 movie is one of the most eagerly anticipated and awaited films. 

Sukumar felt like DSP is taking the movie lightly and being complacent. Hence, they have tried to outsource say the sources. Thaman agreed to compose in quick time at superb quality and hence, the replacement. Also, Thaman took go ahead from DSP before nodding his head, it seems. 

Will this move effect Pushpa 2 final impact? Will DSP and Sukumar combination be broken forever? There have been rumors about Allu Arjun and Sukumar rift but they patched up and there are talks about Pushpa 3 being attempted in future. Will the same repeat in the case of DSP and Sukumar too? We have wait and see.
