Ajith Vidaamuyarchi gets trolled in Telugu

Ajith Kumar starrer Vidaamuyarchi has been gearing up for release soon. Lyca Productions, the producer, did not really confirm the release date yet and they are finally releasing long awaited trailer on 16th January. But the makers have decided to drop a Telugu title for the film and it is getting trolled.

Going into the details, Telugu people on social media have been expressing disappointment about Tamil filmmakers using same titles in Telugu as well. Most of them stated that without a localised title, people are unable to connect with the film. Lyca have decided address this issue with Ajith's Vidaamuyarchi.

They went for literal translation of the title and kept, Pattudala, to the movie in Telugu. While it does suit the story but such titles are alien for current Telugu generation. So, going with such a minimum effort title to just get some extra points from Telugu audiences has resutled in movie getting trolled.

The producers did not care about changing Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan title and it did effect film's buzz. Even recent Tamil films' titles like Raayan did not get changed for Telugu markets. But Lyca desperate to give a hit with this film, seems to have taken this step. But they should have thought better or consulted a better Telugu writer than whom they did to finalise that title.

Well, the movie release date speculations are strong on social media with some stating 6th February and others 23rd January for Republic Day holiday weekend. We have to wait and see, if the producers will finally announce the date with trailer or not.
