Telugu Blockbuster Virupaksha now a Pan India flop?

Telugu Blockbuster Virupaksha now a Pan India flop?

Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej's 'Virupaksha' directed by Karthik Dandu, which released in theatres on April 21st, has been the talk of the town among netizens. The film collected massive numbers at box office and it became the biggest blockbuster in Sai Dharam Tej’s career.

It collected 43 Crores share worldwide until now. With the response in Telugu, the makers have dubbed the film into other languages and released it pan India wide in the Tamil and Hindi languages last Friday.

However, the film failed to create any impact at the pan India level as it was unable to get even minimum numbers at the box office. This proves that every movie cannot be successful at the pan India level, even if it has superb content.

Virupaksha is not a regular movie as it contains mystical and supernatural elements. That’s why even the trade circles had thought that the movie will do good in other languages. But Virupaksha could not live up to the expectations.

Popular producer Gnanavel Raja released the film in Tamilnadu. Hindi version released by Manish under Goldmines and Malayalam version by E4 Media. Even team attended promotional events in other states but it isn't enough to bring audience to theatres.

Samyuktha Menon played the female lead. Sukumar wrote the screenplay for the film. This film is produced by BVSN prasad and creative director Sukumar under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings, presented by Bapineedu B.
