Shocking: Thandel pirated copy played in APSRTC bus
Updated : Feb 10, 2025
Thandel movie starring Naga Chaitanya Akkineni has released to a rousing reception. The movie collected Rs.60 crores gross in three days and it is looking set to cross Rs.100 crores, too. But the movie piracy copy being played in an APSRTC bus has shocked everyone.
A news portal broke the item that Service No: 3066 has played a pirated copy of Thandel during a trip. Private bus services, generally, tend to resort to such measures as they need to attract more customers. But APSRTC, being a government service should not resort to such measures ever.
So, producer Bunny Vasu took to X, asking APSRTC Chairman to immediately take action on those who resorted to play such a pirated copy. He wrote, "We have come to know from @Way2NewsTelugu that an @apsrtc bus (Service No: 3066) played a pirated version of our #Thandel.. This is not only illegal and outrageous but also a blatant insult to the countless individuals who worked tirelessly to bring this film to life. The movie is the dream of artists, the director, and the producers.I urge APSRTC Chairman #KonakallaNarayanaRao Garu to take strict action and set a strong example to ensure that such incidents never happen again."
Well, the reaction of APSRTC is awaited on this incident but it is disappointing to see such malpractices being encouraged even by some people in esteemed government institutions.
