Superstar Rajinikanth has stated in an interview that there is no rush to release his highly anticipated sequel to Jailer, Jailer 2. The movie is being canned at a leisurely pace as the team is looking for June 2026 release. Few reports have suggested that it could clash with Suriya's Karuppu in April.

But Rajinikanth has cleared the air and stated that they have locked June release for the film. He stated that the action sequences in this film will be highly intriguing and grand. He did not talk much about flashback portions or cameos and stated that people should wait for its release.

Well, while he did not confirm, after finishing Jailer 2, he would be starting shooting for his next with Kamal Haasan, say reports. According to the reports, writers of Lokesh Kanagaraj have started writing script for the film and Kamal Haasan will be taking care of the entire process.

Also, the reports suggested that Superstar will be taking a break of one or two months post these films and then only, he will talk about his upcoming projects. Jailer 2 will have Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar cameos for sure but they have not been shot yet, say reports.
