Rajendra Prasad Bold Statement: Are Telugu producers and actors overhyping films?

Legendary actor Rajendra Prasad stated that he is ready to quit the industry if Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's Mass Jathara fails to shock audiences. He stated that he is not going to reveal too much but he is doubly confident about the film. He did give such statements before for Nithiin's Robinhood as well.

He even got trolled for his cuss word towards Australian Cricketer David Warner. And he covered up regarding such overhyping statements by stating that they do it for publicity. Producer Naga Vamsi at the same Mass Jathara Pre-Release event stated that he is not going to Dubai, no matter what the result.

Naga Vamsi further stated that he is not going to make tall claims like he did for WAR 2 as he gets trolled massively for anything. If the content delivers on the hype and buzz that these statements carry, then the producers and actors don't have to really worry about the consequences.

Previously, Nithiin made tall claims about Robinhood and he had to bite a humble pie when promoting his next film, Thammudu. He did not make any statement about the film and looked very worried. Sampath Nandi during Odela 2, NTR during Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi and even Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas during Kishkindhapuri events, all made tall claims about the films.

Later, they blamed critics for not "enjoying the film" and looking at it "too harshly". NTR looked visibly agitated before WAR 2 release and at the event, he did talk about the movie being a big blockbuster. At Kantara Chapter 1 event, he decided to just stick to simple statements without overhyping it.

It is understandable that producers, actors believe highly in their films and want same to be conveyed to audiences as well. But in their attempt to create buzz, they seem to be overdoing it. Audiences are deciding about the content they would like to watch through teasers and trailers.

Such statements are resulting in initial buzz but more in negative manner than positive direction. Hope, the makers understand how such statements are more harming their films than helping them in such social media trendy times. Better to underplay than overdo it, opine several audiences.
