SCOOP: The Real Struggle Starts Now

Among the four big competitors at Sankranthi box office, Soggade Chinni Nayana, Express Raja and Dictator are censored, while Nannaku Prematho will get certified in a day or two. That starts the real struggle for all these films as they have to hunt theatres now.

In Andhra region, most of the theatres are not under lease and they will be given to those whom distributors show a liking. In all likelihood, there are 1500 screens in Andhra, for which these four films should compete. Some theatres might run existing films, so keep 200 theatres aside. Coming to others, we have Nannaku Prematho dominating the show, followed by Dictator. With Soggade Chinni Nayana and Express Raja already bagging some theatres, Nannaku Prematho might get 300 theatres maximum and Balayya will also get equally. Express Raja and Soggade might share 200+ theatres each. Rest 300 theatres will screen films as per their liking without signing any contracts.

Coming to Nizam and other regions, already biggies like Dil Raju have owned Express Raja, while Suresh Babu and Allu Arvind are not divulging info about their theatres. There are nearly 2000 theatres in this region and everyone wants to pick a hit film. Here too, if 500 theatres screen existing running films like Bengal Tiger, Bhale Manchu Roju and Nenu Sailaja, then rest will share screens equally to the four Sankranthi releases. Who will get more theatres is somewhat we will know only by the release date.
