Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film with Bimbisara director Vassishta is a fantasy entertainer. Chiru’s last film, Bholaa Shankar, tanked at the box office, and hence, fans pinned their hopes on this flick. In a recent interview, the director shared some interesting details about the film.

Vassishta revealed that Chiranjeevi will be seen in a mature role in the film and that he won’t have a female lead. The director said that he wants to present Megastar in such a way that takes him closer to this generation’s audiences. Vassishta further made it clear that the movie will be made on a massive scale.

He said, "I'm going to present the Megastar Chiranjeevi in a mature role that befits his stature and age. Kamal Haasan garu and Rajinikanth garu gained appreciation for playing their age in Vikram and Jailer respectively. The audience can expect to see Chiranjeevi in a similar, age appropriate role. “This story will not see him romancing.”

He added "With the larger canvas, my efforts are on to get the best possible output required for the story. We are engaging with a number of studios. While the quality of visual effects has to be good, I believe that ultimately the story and the screenplay matter. If you dress up an ordinary story with great VFX, it will not work."

He said, "We haven’t seen Megastar Chiranjeevi garu in fantasy space since Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. Our film will place him in a new fantasy world. Jagadeka Veerudu appealed to children of the 90s. I want today’s children to see Chiranjeevi in that zone."

Mega157 will be bankrolled by UV Creations. The movie will have the tunes of Oscar-winning MM Keeravani. Chota K Naidu will crank the camera. Currently, the pre-production works are going on. The film is expected to go on floors in 2024.
