Anasuya says she got impactful character in Peddha Kapu 1?
Updated : Sep 22, 2023
Anasuya Bharadwaj is playing key role in Srikanth Addala's 'Peddha Kapu: Part 1'. The film, starring debutant Virat Karrna in the lead, will hit the cinemas on September 29. Seen recently in movies such as 'Rangamarthanda' and 'Michael', Anasuya says that she wants to essay all kinds of roles since she is an actor first and foremost.
The actress recently interacted with media about the film, her role and many other interesting things. Talking about her role, she said "While I like playing negative roles, I won't reveal whether my character is negative or positive in 'Peddha Kapu: Part 1'."
Talking about how she got this character, she said, "when the director watched me in Sundeep Kishan's 'Michael' upon Chota K Naidu's reference. I instantly fell in love with the characte after the narration r. I loved the thought of working with Srikanth Addala. All female characters are quite strong in the movie. They are integral to the story. I got to learn a lot working on the movie. I hope the audience appreciate my effort."
Talking about debutant Virat Karrna, she said, "He is soft-natured and kind-hearted. On screen, though, he looks ferocious. I have heard that a lot of folks are comparing him with Prabhas. I think he will craft his own style. Incidentally, Virat admires Prabhas a great deal."
Sharing about her character, she said "If you walk into the theatre with no expectations and if you don't draw comparisons, my character will surely be a draw. In 'Peddha Kapu', I am strong in my thinking. This is not a contemporary movie. It is set in the past. And the dialect is largely neutral. I have got combination scenes with almost all artists, be it Eeswari Rao, Brigida Saga, Rao Ramesh, Addala, Pragathi or the hero."
Sharing her view on boldness, she said "Boldness is contextual in nature. In some cultures, exposing a woman's hands would be deemed too much skin show. In others, even a bikini-wearing woman won't invite judgements. To each his own. Just because I played a prostitute in 'Vimanam', it doesn't mean I was bold in it. I am an actor and I want to try everything unique that comes my way. In 'Peddha Kapu', my character is strong rather than bold. Some dialogues uttered by me are bold."
Takking about production, she said "Dwaraka Creations is one of my favourites. I love how they take care of actors, technicians on set is jzst incredible. Producer Miriyala Ravinder Reddy has not compromised anywhere. The making values are solid."
