Koratala Siva about Devara highlights?

'Devara' is a big-budget film starring the "Man of Masses NTR" in the title role, directed by Koratala Siva. Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan plays a pivotal role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, who is cast as the heroine. Presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and produced by Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Harikrishna under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, the film is set for a grand worldwide release on September 27. On this occasion, director Koratala Siva shared some interesting insights about 'Devara':

"As the release date approaches, the excitement and nervousness are palpable, much like waiting for exam results. Every movie is a pre-release."

"The story of 'Devara' is entirely fictional; it is not based on real events."

"Excessive courage can be foolish. We all have a natural fear, even if we aren't aware of it. The story highlights the importance of respecting this fear. It’s not wrong to acknowledge fear; it’s a part of life. For instance, we stop at a red traffic light not just out of obedience, but due to a healthy fear of consequences. Such fear is essential for us; it promotes accountability and ultimately leads to better outcomes."

"My journey with NTR is always special. He expresses his feelings openly, without diplomatic responses. His reaction to the 'Devara' line motivated us to elevate our work."

"It took us six months to prepare for the movie, particularly to shoot scenes involving the ocean. We researched how to recreate oceanic lighting and conditions, as there was no existing expertise to guide us."

"I cannot praise our technicians enough; they are incredibly talented. Unlike Hollywood technicians, who thrive on meticulous preparation, we work effectively under pressure. Even without extensive prep time, they deliver outstanding results."

"Although 'Acharya' did not perform as expected, I felt no pressure because I was well-prepared for this film. I began working on the motion poster for 'Devara' just 20 days after 'Acharya' released."

"We initially questioned whether such an expansive story could fit into three hours. The narration was around four hours long, and the script spanned 6-7 hours. During the second schedule, we realized we had to split it into two parts. This decision was based on narrative necessity, not merely for commercial reasons."

"We were fortunate to work with top technicians like Sabu Shiril, Ratnavelu, Srikar Prasad, and Anirudh. They came with their own ideas, contributing significantly to the project."

"Our team has dedicated immense effort until the last minute. However, the outcome is beyond our control."

"'Devara' revolves around NTR's character as the hero; I couldn't envision anyone else in that role. From the beginning, I wrote the story with NTR in mind. 'Devara' will be completed in two parts."

"I maintain a strong relationship with Chiranjeevi. After 'Acharya', he was the first to message me, encouraging me to create an even bigger hit this time."

"Janhvi Kapoor, Sridevi's daughter, approached her role with great diligence. I wanted to convey the theme of fear in 'Devara', and I saw that quality in her. A week before filming, she would ask for scene details and come to the set to practice. On the first day of shooting, when she performed her scene, Tarakgaru praised her performance."

"After seeing Saif Ali Khan in 'Omkara', I felt he was perfect for the role of Bhaira, despite my initial concern about his northern appearance. I proposed a look test, and once we finalized his look, he exceeded my expectations."

"I am completely satisfied with Anirudh's music. When I conceptualized the 'Fear Song', I envisioned a certain style. Upon hearing my ideas, he delivered an incredible track that resonated with the theme. We are also planning to release the 'Aydupuja' song soon."

"'Devara' will premiere on September 27, and we hope it will be a visual feast for all."

"Our focus is entirely on 'Devara'; we have not yet begun to think about our next project."
