Kantara Chapter 1 has become a huge blockbuster with almost close to Rs.800 crores+ gross worldwide collection. The movie has become the Highest Grosser of the Year 2025 in Indian Cinema. But the movie has taken a huge leap of faith releasing English Dubbed version in Overseas.

Interestingly, the English version is releasing on the same date as Baahubali The Epic. The movie has been skillfully re-edited to a shorter runtime of 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 45 seconds, and it is releasing on 31st October. Baahubali: The Epic aims to be a special release for 10th anniversary of Baahubali and Kantara might effect its run.

In fact, Baahubali makers have stated while they want their re-release of this re-edited version to be a short theatrical spectacle, they want to reach out to Overseas English speaking audiences with this move, as well. With Kantara Chapter 1, aiming for complete English dub release, the theatre availability could be an issue.

Well, both the films have plans to take Indian cinema to International Level and it is a great leap forward. Japanese, Korean and Chinese films have mastered this dubbed releases and Indian Films are joining other big Asian markets with this big step.
