I can't star in my Father Biopic: Mahesh Babu

Superstar Mahesh Babu became the producer of the film 'Major,' which was produced by GMB Entertainments.

'Trailer Launch' event was held on Monday. While as a guest, Mahesh made many interesting remarks.

These are the highlights of the Trailer's launch.

Mahesh, speaking on the occasion, stated, "I saw the Major film yesterday, and there are several goosebumps-inducing sequences. I had a big lump in my throat, especially in the last 30 minutes, and I am not exaggerating."

My thanks to the film crew for bringing it in. They've been thanking me for being a part of it for two years. Now I'm thankful to them for making such an excellent film.


You have not yet tried Pan India movie as an actor. How does it feel to be a producer for Pan Indian cinema?

Mahesh: The answer to all this is story. As a producer for this film, I used to visit the sets every now and then. Co-producers Anurag and Sarath are proud to express that they regard Sesh to be a hero. I enjoyed his performance in the film 'Goodachari.'

After watching the movie, would it be good if you acted in it?

Mahesh: No, some stories are written for a specific people. They are given to those who will do them justice. I'm not selfish enough to believe we're capable of doing so unless we love witnessing things like this. I have to do my own movies and just watch the rest and enjoy.


About the release of trailers in Hindi and Malayalam with Salman Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Mahesh: That's a wild lingering idea. We planned this with the idea that a good movie will reach more people if it is released with the superstars of the respective industries.

Did this film receive OTT offers?

Mahesh: Many OTT companies have placed substantial offers for this film. But none of us want to see this movie released on OTT. Sony Pictures has stood by us despite multiple challenge posed by Covid / Lockdown.


Is there any chance of a biopic of your father, Superstar Krishna Sir, being made?

Mahesh: As I have said, I would be happy to see someone portray my father in a biopic (laughs). I can’t able to do so because he is my God.
