Bollywood Actor Dara Singh Passes Away

Bollywood actor and 'Rustam-e-Hind' Dara Singh has passed away Thursday morning at his Mumbai residence following prolonged illness. On July 7, Dara Singh was admitted in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital following a cardiac arrest. He was put on ventilator and and underwent dialysis. His condition deteriorated and he breathed his last at 7:30 am at his residence.

 



Dara Singh never lost a match in wrestling ring and he won the wrestling championship in 1968. He made his debut as an actor in 1962 and gained popularity for portraying the role of Lord Hanuman in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan'. Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurana, Neha Dhupia and Sophie Chowdhury offered their condolences to Dara Singh's family. May his soul RIP.
