Disastrous Eid for Bollywood
Updated : Apr 30, 2022
Bollywood appears to be having a pretty tough time right now. For the past two months, B-town has been squatting with the South Movies fever, starting with Covid. Films such as Pushpa, RRR, and KGF2 have sparked mass hysteria across the country. Particularly in the North Indian film market. They caused quite a stir at the box office. However, none of the Bollywood films this year have been able to amass large sums in either excellent openings or full runs.
Attack, Shahid Kapoor 'Jersey' has started a chain of disasters for Bollywood. This Friday saw the release of the other two major films, "Runway 34" and "Heropanthi 2." Nonetheless, very small openings were made. "Runway 34" has a positive reception, it has a high possibility of performing well in cinemas over the weekend. However, "Heropanthi 2" was Tiger Shroff's biggest flop.
The recent release of Big Movies openings has surprised Bollywood filmmakers and analysts. It has been a heated issue on social media for a prominent box-office analyst to declare that this is the worst Eid in film history. Right now, viewers in India are asking why they aren't interested in seeing Bollywood movies.
