Anil Ravipudi has been the most successful director in Telugu Cinema post SS Rajamouli. While both have 100% success ratio, Anil is just 8 films old while SSR is directing his 13th film. The director has been avoiding any sort of controversies as people like his colloquial style of talking on stage.

In his films too, he doesn't touch any controversial topics and tries to blend in comedy in the serious issues as well. But he made few comments casually that have a created a storm on social media. At Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankaravara Prasad Garu title glimpse launch press event, he commented, "In this film, we did not use VFX to change or enhance Chiranjeevi garu looks. It is 90-95% original and his own effort."

These comments might have been made casually to elevate Chiranjeevi's efforts to slim down at the age of 70. But they have triggered several fans of Telugu Cinema stars as these days using VFX to enhance actors' looks has become a common practice. There have been rumors about Prabhas, NTR using VFX in their recent films to change and enhance looks.

While makers did not confirm about any such practices except for stunt doubles in major high risk sequences, trolls upon looks and usage of extensive VFX enhancements have become common these days. Hence, Anil's words have trigged few trolls and fans against Chiranjeevi as well.

Producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela have also participated in the event. While Mega fans are happy with the vintage style and looks of Megastar, they did not expect these sort of trolls. The movie is releasing for Sankranti 2026.
