Story :

Laddu Babu is a common man with a bloated appearance. This increase in weight occurs due to a virally infected mosquito bite. Laddu Babu is a happy go lucky guy who lives with his greedy and miser father. His father wants to marry off Laddu Babu for a reason. Laddu Babu in turn believes in love and finds a girl too and that is Maya. In the meanwhile, Laddu Babu gets introduced to a young boy with a single mother and that is Bhoomika. Laddu Babu gets tangled with so many unpredictable issues. What happens with their introduction ? Did Laddu Babu succeed in love or not ? What's his father's plan ? forms the rest of the story

Performances :

Laddu Babu (Allari Naresh) :

Allari Naresh did take a lot of effort to carry a role of this sort. It is highly difficult to handle but this man never showed that pain at any part. In fact he played his role with a lot of grace.

Kota Srinivas Rao :

This man plays the role of Laddu Babu's father. His dialogues of criticizing his son's weight is powerful and will even make the audience feel bad.

Bhoomika :

Bhoomika has an emotional role in the film. She makes her presence visible throughout the second half.

Heroine Poorna:

Heroine Poorna, the pretty woman has nothing much to do in the film except for flaunting her beauty that too just in a portion of the first half.

The kid :

The little boy did a good job for his age and justified his role for sure. He is in fact one of the highlights in the film.

Technical Aspects :

Cinematography :

The film was clean and neatly shot. The cameraman did a fair job in showing every actor and the location in a convincing manner.

Music :

Chakri's music was not so appealing. Only the 'Laddu Babu' song is appealing on the whole.

Direction :

Ravi Babu is known for uniqueness in his direction and that is seen in this film as well. However, he could have tightened the script a bit more to make it crisp. The concept can be appreciated for sure which reminds you one of an old Eddy Murphy movie.

Positive Aspects :

1. Naresh's performance

2. The little boy's charm

3. Bhoomika's beauty

4. Entry of Bramhanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, MS Narayana and so on is a highlight.

Negative Aspects :

1. Story is really slow in both the halves.

2. Comedy is dependant upon mocking at a fat man who is helpless about his appearance.

Conclusion :

Although this is not a complete Allari Naresh or Ravi Babu styled movie, Naresh's hard work with the fat man's make up and all and the concept makes it worth a one time watch only !!!
